...and a view from Harrison Hall

Okay for my first review I decided to share my experience with Harrison Hall.
Harrison Hall is located at 15th and boardwalk overlooking the ocean and boardwalk which is an amazing location!

We stayed at the end of July which of course is peak season so at $189 a night weekend rate this is a steal! If you have a low budget and want the whole vacation experience OCMD has to offer I highly suggest looking into Harrison Hall!

The hotel itself was great, the rooms were a decent size, the front porch/ common area was comfortable, the people at the front desk were helpful and informative. This is an older hotel but for the price I couldn't have asked for more, the clean rooms and small refrigerators really put this place above a lot of the others we've stayed in.

We liked this hotel enough to return for their Guest Appreciation in October which gave us the opportunity to stay for a few nights in the fall and see how different Ocean City can really be. If I didn't already love OC before, this fall trip sealed the deal and made me fall in love enough to start planning my move there. The GA fee's may change from year to year so I don't want to post a price that is way off but we stayed at the hotel for 3 days and paid less than $100 back in 2010. GA is available to anyone who stayed during the summer season during the current year and offers a large discount over a few weeks in the fall.

The only thing I really had a problem with here was the water pressure. If your a shower person, plan to stay in the shower rinsing shampoo out of your hair for a good while. The pressure is terrible... still this is not really something to keep me from staying at this hotel (obviously because I went back) but it can be an annoyance. After staying at multiple other hotels on the boardwalk I've come to realize this is pretty much the downside to the beautiful view and the convenient location. The water pressure is just not good on the boardwalk (at least not at any of the places I've stayed at).

Harrison Hall has an amazing pool, cable tv with HBO, free wifi, elevators, parking, a poolside bar, a restaurant below it, instant access to the boardwalk and beach, an incredible view, an amazing 24 hour staff and fun lobby/ porch common areas.

I actually am lacking in photos of the hotel but I'll share the ones I have and use a few from google.

driving up to the hotel they had one of the prettiest most fun signs I've seen in OC.

My view of the front of the hotel at sunrise (you can also see the restaurant below which has very good food! In this photo you can see the common area porch and all the chairs they have available.)

I actually was standing IN the ocean when I took this photo, the further up the boardwalk you go the closer the boards are to the ocean.

excusing my mess this was our room, we had 2 beds... a double and a queen. The room was a fairly nice size and also had a vanity dresser, chair, refrigerator,  closet area that are not shown in this photo.

Heres a few photos from Google. I do not claim ANY of the rights to the images below!
their amazing pool! Seriously it is huge in real life as well!
the porch overlooking the ocean.
the inside common area, very comfortable!
the pool bar

and finally my view from the porch (these are my personal photos):

For the 2013 season the rooms have been newly remodeled and look AMAZING! Please check out the website and check this amazing hotel out for yourself!

...and a smile on my face

I've decided to organize my 5000 Ocean City, Maryland photos and realized a few things when  doing this...

1. I'm not the only one with a crazy photo collection of this beautiful place so why not share them with everyone since everyone else has been so kind to share theirs on Pinterest and gave me a very nice start to my Ocean City Pinterest board.

2. I talk about Ocean City multiple times every single day. If I'm not headed there soon or just returning from there you can bet I'm counting down until the next visit! Why not stop torturing everyone with my plans, places, memories and just post them here instead.

3. My long term life goal is to move there. It might be interesting to blog about the journey from 20-something Pennsylvania me to 30 something Maryland someday me. If I could keep a blog alive that long that is... lol

So these thoughts were the birth of this blog and I don't know why I didn't think to do this sooner. I hope everyone sticks around for the photos, restaurant reviews, budget vacation tips, hotels worth a look and just a general obsession with all things OCMD.

Heres a few of my favorite photos to start this thing off on the right foot... these will always be unedited and my personal photos unless otherwise posted.
